Billy Crystal is back on Broadway with “860,” a one-man show at the Imperial Theatre on West 45th Street. It runs through Jan. 3, 2027.

The title comes from 860 Chautauqua Blvd., the Pacific Palisades house that Crystal and his wife, Janice, purchased in 1979. They raised their two daughters there, and he filled it with memorabilia, including a Yankee Stadium seat that Mickey Mantle sent him. The wildfires of January 2025 destroyed the home.

What the Billy Crystal 860 show covers

The show is a kind of sequel to “700 Sundays,” his 2004 Broadway solo piece about growing up on Long Island and losing his father at 15. “860” moves on to his adult life: his career, his marriage and his family.

Much of the show is about friends who have died, including Muhammad Ali, Robin Williams and Rob Reiner. Crystal tells how Norman Lear cast him on “All in the Family,” talks about working with Reiner on “The Princess Bride” and “When Harry Met Sally…,” and recalls Williams calling him in a Ronald Reagan voice while Crystal watched Reagan’s funeral. Now 78, he also jokes about aging and wonders whether he or Janice will die first. Of his wife, he says: “She knows all the passwords to everything. It would be a disaster.”

Set, running time and tickets

Scott Ellis directs. Scott Pask designed the set, a re-creation of Crystal’s office packed with keepsakes. Across the back wall, video from Hana S. Kim and Kylee Loera shows family photos, career footage and the lost house. The show is produced by Janice Crystal, James L. Nederlander, Larry Magid and Face Productions, the Shubert Organization says.
