Jets vs. Raiders is set for Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The official event page lists a 1 p.m. start, doors at 11 a.m. and parking lots opening at 8 a.m. The one thing to know: anyone who arrives before the lots open will not be let into the Sports Complex, and the stadium strongly encourages mass transit for NFL games.

Jets vs. Raiders date, start time and gate times

These times come from the stadium’s official Jets vs. Raiders event page:

  • Date: Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026
  • Event starts: 1 p.m.
  • Doors open: 11 a.m.
  • Parking lots open: 8 a.m.

The event page also links a “Know Before You Go” section. The stadium says lot hours can vary by event, so check the event page again on game day before leaving.

Getting there by train from Secaucus Junction

NJ Transit runs the Meadowlands Rail Service for events with anticipated attendance above 50,000, and the stadium says it delivers riders to the front door of MetLife Stadium. Most of the NJ Transit rail system connects at Secaucus Junction, and trains to the stadium leave from there.

According to the stadium, rail service starts a few hours before kickoff and keeps running for a couple of hours after the game ends. The ride from Secaucus Junction to the Sports Complex station takes about 10 minutes. To catch the train after the game, leave the stadium through the MetLife or Verizon Gates.

On select occasions, NJ Transit may also run buses between Secaucus Junction and the stadium, with staff on hand to point riders to the boarding areas. The stadium pages do not list train times or fares for this game. Details are on the stadium’s public transportation page. Riders taking the subway to a connection in Manhattan can check live subway status before heading out.

Coach USA 351 bus from Port Authority

Coach USA runs the 351 Meadowlands Express bus from the Port Authority to the MetLife Sports Complex for NFL games and other large events. Service starts two and a half hours before the game and runs until half an hour after the start. Buses then run again for about one hour after the game ends.

Buses drop off and pick up in Lot K, near the Quest Diagnostics Performance Center. Leave through the MetLife Gate to reach it. For schedules and other details, the stadium points riders to www.351express.com or (800) 877-1888, Ext. 3. The stadium pages give no fare for the 351.

Parking at MetLife Stadium

For this game, the lots open at 8 a.m. The stadium says lots usually close two hours after an event ends. Cars that arrive before opening time will not be let into the Sports Complex and may be told to leave the roads that serve it.

  • Fans with general seating tickets are sent to the lots closest to their entry point, and driving between lots is not allowed.
  • Parking on nearby roads, medians, grass and breakdown lanes is illegal. Local police can ticket or tow violators at the owner’s expense.
  • Overnight parking is not allowed on the Sports Complex.
  • NJ State Police may search vehicles, including with a canine unit. Drivers who refuse a search will not be let in.
  • Charter buses park in Lot L.

The event page has a Buy Parking link. The stadium says prepaid permits through ParkWhiz are for non-NFL events, and its general event parking page also says parking can be paid on arrival.

Rideshare, taxi and park-and-ride options

Taxis and limousines drop off and pick up on the curb between Lots D and E, and that area is free to use. Rideshare drop-off is on the roadway between Lots D and E, and rideshare pickup is in Lot E. The stadium warns that surge pricing is common after events and that waits can run longer than two hours, so it suggests public transit instead.

To skip traffic right around the stadium, fans can park at the Laz at Edison Park Fast lot at the Frank R. Lautenberg Station at Secaucus Junction (675 New Country Road, Secaucus, off Exit 15X on the eastern extension of the New Jersey Turnpike). The 1,100-space lot is open 24 hours, and reservations are recommended. From there, NJ Transit trains run to the Sports Complex. The stadium says to confirm that rail service is running for the event before choosing this option.

MetLife Stadium bag policy and security

MetLife Stadium follows the NFL clear bag policy. Each guest may bring:

  • One clear bag no bigger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc or similar)
  • One small non-clear clutch or handbag no bigger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches

Non-clear bags bigger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches are not allowed, including purses, camera or binocular cases, backpacks, fanny packs, diaper bags and briefcases or computer bags. Seat cushions are banned unless they are needed for medical reasons. Medically necessary items are allowed after inspection at a gate set aside for that purpose.

Every guest and their belongings are searched before entry, so be ready to open bags and move items around for staff. Bags that are too big can go back to the car or into a Bag Check Facility outside each open gate, which is free for NFL events. Entrances and transit are covered in more detail in our MetLife Stadium guide to getting there, parking, bag policy and entry. The stadium’s bag policy page has the full rules.
