A 10-foot arch made of hundreds of pumpkins and autumn leaves goes back up on the Manhattan waterfront on Thursday, Oct. 22, as the Seaport’s Pumpkin Arch returns for the 2026 season. There is no charge to visit.

You’ll find it at 89 South Street, on the Heineken Riverdeck along Pier 17’s northern edge, placed so the Brooklyn Bridge fills the opening. Once the sun goes down, strings of twinkling orange lights switch on, and the arch looks very different at dusk than it does in daylight. One stop in the afternoon and another after dark will show you both versions.

Halloween events at the Seaport

The arch is not the only seasonal draw nearby. The Seaport plans trick-or-treating on Halloween, and Sadie’s screens Halloween movies each Wednesday.

Sadie’s Garden Bar closes its outdoor season on Thursday, Oct. 29, with a party called “Witches Night Out.” Guests can decorate their own witch hats, get their tarot read and order from a cocktail cauldron while a DJ plays and a Halloween film runs on the large outdoor screen. Candy for the night comes from Lil Sweet Treat.

How to find the Pumpkin Arch at Pier 17

Use 89 South Street as your address and head for the Heineken Riverdeck on the pier’s northern side. Seeing the arch costs nothing, and it is back starting Thursday, Oct. 22. If you want to catch the orange lights, plan to stay until after sunset or come back in the evening.
