Winter Village opens at noon on Oct. 28, according to Bryant Park. The rink is the centerpiece of the village and covers 17,000 square feet. Skating season runs Oct. 28, 2026, to Feb. 28, 2027, and admission to the ice is free. Rental skates cost extra.

The rink is open daily, holidays included, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. From Nov. 19 to Jan. 3 the holiday and peak hours apply: 8 a.m. to midnight. On Jan. 31 the rink is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The park says the rink is open rain or shine but may close for heavy rain, and the park closes if conditions are severe.

The Winter Village page lists Holiday Shops and The Lodge alongside the rink, and the park says Cozy Igloos and Club Santa can already be reserved. Bryant Park has not yet published 2026 details for the Holiday Shops, so dates and vendors for this season’s shops are still to come. Watch the Winter Village page for them.

The Grand Central Holiday Fair runs Nov. 9 to Dec. 24, 2026, in Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal, 89 E. 42nd St. The terminal describes it as a 6,000-square-foot indoor artisan market under the hall’s chandeliers. Vendors sell handcrafted jewelry, pottery and artwork, and the vendor list is sorted into art and design, bath and body, handbags, home goods and gifts, jewelry, and men’s fashion and gifts.

The fair’s page lists these daily hours by period:

  • Nov. 9 to Dec. 16: Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed on Thanksgiving Day.
  • Dec. 17 to Dec. 23: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A summary box higher on the same page gives different hours: Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you plan a weekday visit after 7 p.m. before Dec. 17, confirm the hours on the fair’s page first. The page also has a vendor map and directory.

Holiday Bazaar at Grand Bazaar NYC

Grand Bazaar NYC holds its Holiday Bazaar on Dec. 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It takes place at Grand Bazaar NYC, 100 W. 77th St., at Columbus Avenue.

The organizer says the market brings together local makers, artists, vintage dealers and small businesses. It lists handcrafted jewelry, home accents, original artwork and specialty foods among the goods. It is a one-day event, so there is no second date if you miss it.

Union Square Holiday Market

The holiday market has run at Union Square in past years. As of mid-October, no organizer had announced 2026 dates, hours or vendors, and the former operator’s site no longer lists it. This guide will be updated when an organizer publishes the details.

Columbus Circle Holiday Market

The holiday market has also run at Columbus Circle in past years. No organizer has announced 2026 dates, hours or vendors for it yet, and the former operator’s site no longer lists it either. The details will be added here once they are published.

Getting around

None of the organizers’ pages cited here gives subway directions, so check your route before you leave. Live line status is on the How2NewYork subway status page, and fares and paying with tap-and-ride are covered in the How2NewYork transport guide.

Grand Central’s fair is indoors, but Winter Village and its rink are outdoors and can close for heavy rain or severe weather. Bryant Park posts daily updates in the rink message on its home page, and the forecast is on the How2NewYork NYC weather page.
