Jay Manuel puts his glass-walled Fairfield County house on the market for $4.7 million
The "America's Next Top Model" judge is selling his modern Connecticut home on 2.6 acres, which has a saltwater pool, a wine cellar and a skylit gym.
A modern Connecticut estate owned by Jay Manuel, the makeup artist and creative director known as a judge on “America’s Next Top Model,” now carries a $4,695,000 price tag. The property covers 2.6 acres on Sturges Ridge Road, where the house is No. 300, in Connecticut’s Fairfield County.
Manuel first put it up for sale in May, asking a bit below $5 million. Sharing the listing on Instagram, he said the house had become part of his identity. He described it as a creative refuge, a place where he hosted family and friends and went to reset.
Inside the Fairfield County house
The design draws loosely on Brutalism and puts it into a California-style house. Inside there are high ceilings and walls of glass that let in plenty of light. Systems include passive solar design, advanced HVAC, a generator and connectivity across the whole property.
In the kitchen, a Poliform design pairs clean tile with warm wood, and the appliances are built in. A custom vent panel lights a large prep island. Next door is a dining room sized for events. Upstairs, the primary suite has a balcony looking over the grounds, and its bathroom includes a built-in TV and a freestanding soaking tub.
Other rooms include a wine cellar lined with mosaic tile, a rec room with windows all around and a large skylit gym.
Pool, terraces and a Zen garden
Outdoors, the landscaped grounds hold a spa and a saltwater pool that is heated. Around the house are a Zen garden, a fire pit, an outdoor kitchen and multiple terraces. The property is also a short distance from Manhattan.
